The Gerber 06 FAST spring assisted knife is a superb tactical tool. It features Gerber’s Forward Action Spring Technology – F.A.S.T. for quick one-hand opening. Once the blade is opened approximately ten degrees the spring drives the blade the rest of the way into the open position. This exclusive mechanism was developed by acclaimed Oregon custom knife maker Butch Vallotton, whose name graces one of Gerber’s line of Assisted Opening Knives. The side mounted button slide allows easy release of the blade and acts as a safety too.
